Lance Franklin
Introduction and early life
Lance Franklin is an Australian professional football player who currently plays for the Club of Football of Hawthorn Hawks. He was born on January 30, 1987 in Perth, Western Australia. and it is of indigenous Australian origin. Lance 1.96 metres in height, has a great framework and weighs approximately 101 kg. It is a very versatile player who played in the positions of avant-demi centre and the position of midfielder too. He wears the number 23 Jersey and is affectionately called "Buddy". He used to play in Perth in Western Australia in his football days where it was drafted with the number 4 choose in the Australian Football League (AFL) by Hawthorn Hawks f.c. in the AFL draft national 2004.
Early professional career
Before starting his professional football career, Lance played his first days representing Western Australia to the National under 18 Carnival. Lance made his debut appearance in the first round of the 2005 season. He plays very well this year, especially in light of the fact that it was his first season in the AFL. He finished the season 20 games the total 22 games and contributing 27 goals. It can be considered a good performance for its first season. He had a serious setback for his performance of the following season because of injuries suffered on his ankle and hand early in the season 2006. He was back in the 9th round. In the 12th round, Lance displays excellent performance which has given kick 6 goals during the match against Richmond.
Before the end of the 2006 season, Lance has renewed his contract and extended his stay at Hawthorn Hawks by two years. Prior to this, it was widely assumed to be an object of attraction by clubs such as Essendon, West Coast and Fremantle. The 2007 season was a large for Lance. He finished the season with 63 goals placing him third in the medal Coleman in the AFL throughout this season. He finished the season in the number three position best club and fair price, and the main goal kicker Hawthorn Hawks.
Professional career achievements
Lance Franklin kept improving constantly and in 2008, he won the Coleman Medal for a total of 102 goals during the season kicking. He also presented in dream team where he launched four goals in the AFL Hall of Fame tribute Match. It was the first Aboriginal player to achieve this feat in the AFL. He won the AFL championship this year with Hawthorn Hawks and also won the Peter Cummins medal which is the best and fairest award in the club. The 2009 season was not particularly good for him, as he had to undergo surgery for wounds on his thumb and shoulder, as a fall in the previous season. After his return to play, his performances were not the same as that of the previous season. He lost one of his teeth during a match ball in a game and was suspended for two games for rough play against a Richmond player in a game.
He had a good season in 2010, but cannot be regarded as exceptional. His performance in some games was extremely bright but not in every game and he continued in a similar manner in the current season. He is said to date an Australian model and is quite pleased about his heritage.
